Apprenticeships at Barrow Mill
  • Electrical and Mechanical Advanced Apprenticeships in Engineering Maintenance
  • 4 year Apprenticeship:
  • 1st year is in our on-site training centre with a full-time instructor, learning the basics
  • 2nd, 3rd and 4th years are based in the mill working with experienced technicians and engineers learning how           to repair and maintain the production equipment
Qualifications:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical)
  • National Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering 
  • Higher National Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Advanced Apprenticeship Certificate from Kimberly-Clark
  • All practical training is carried out at Barrow Mill
  • One week residential course at Cumbria Outdoors during 1st year
  • Uniform, overalls and tools supplied
  • Additional Crafts Skills and Courses
  • Generous pay during training
